Luby's is a long time favorite in Texas. This one is run really well. Food is always fresh and is what you expect if you've grown up with the taste of Luby's. Most people don't care for liver and onions but if you love it, this restaurant doesn't miss. Even with their small portion Luann platter, they're very generous.

Been over 20 years and wow has it declined on the food part. Flys in the food in the line lots of them in the fish. The price is outrageous compared to other buffet places. Definitely will not visit again. So sad to see what was once a good memory be this bad. I hate writing bad reviews but you should know.

Normally their food is good. And in this particular case. It's more about service and technical issues. We ordered online and order went through fine. I went to to pick up our meals. And to my surprise it wasn't available even but we got charged for it all. After a back and forth I had them refund our order. I mentioned that their system needs to be updated if they don't have an item I'm stock. And to better communicate to the customer when stuff is not there. They have your contact information. As well as not give excuses as to why it happened.

First timer. Definitely was a older folks crowd but that doesn't bother me. The food line up was a little confusing to me but the workers behind the counter and the cashier were extremely helpful with all my questions. I would definitely go back because the food was delicious!

It has been ages since the wife and I ate at Luby's, no idea why. We had one of the best lunches we've had in a long time. The chicken fried steak was tender and not all batter like most places. The cabbage was as good as mom's and the crusted fried fish (Almondine?) was perfect. Oh, and the sweet tea was not overly sweet, just right. Our only problem was making up our minds as to the sides. We'd like to be able to eat here at least once a week...budget and pants size permitting.

Super pleasant experience here.
They came to the table to make sure everything was okay with reasonable frequency. I needed some sauces and they kept going back to the kitchen until I get satisfied with what I wanted.
We stayed later than the closing time. They never told us about time and kept waiting till we finishes our meal and conversation. (We should've left earlier, I'm feeling sorry) They sent us off with big smiles.
And of course, needless to say, foods were great as usual Their customer services made it even tastier. I love this Luby's so much!

Absolutely phenomenal, great food at a great price, by today's standards for sure.
A wonderful selection of meats, salads and vegetables galore not to mention great desserts.
I had a huge slab of chicken fried chicken, green beans and another side of cabbage, everything was wonderful and tasted home-cooked.
I treated a friend of mine to lunch and we both had water I believe, the total bill was $29 or $30. Unheard of for two grown men to eat a full lunch in Austin Texas these days, especially with such a selection.
We tipped the young girl who kept coming to our table to refill our water, $6 and still the total bill is an unheard of price in Austin,Texas today.
Not to mention we got in, sat down and got our food and sat at the table in a matter of minutes, very fast, very comfortable and clean. Wow, we'll be back!
