Street parking can be hard but we were lucky to find one not too far away.

It was busy on a Saturday evening with what seems like a lot of regulars. We were a party of 5 and they sat us at a table for 4 and added a chair on the end. Once we ordered, they moved us to a big table. We ordered way too much for 5 people. Ending up taking a lot home.

Everything was very good. Except the veggie was a little too tough/mature. And the mixed mushroom with egg tofu was not mixed mushroom but only one type of mushroom. The egg tofu was very good with the broccoli.

The bbq pork with chicken appetizer was good too. The bbq pork was so juicy and flavorful.

Portions here are very big and prices are reasonable.

I believe the foods had MSG because I was really thirsty after. Congee could be better if adding ginger. Rice rolls were too hard and too oily. It was disappointed they don’t have 炸兩.
3% surcharge for credit card payment is insane!! Spending $60 for lunch was pricy. I would rather go to dim sum restaurant with better foods and service. Service was average. The reason I gave 2 stars because it’s spacious, not like the one in San Bruno very crowded and noisy. It’s always tough to find parking in this neighborhood.

Went to this place for lunch with a couple of people, and overall, it was subpar at best. This review will cover all the 3 elements (food,service, atmosphere) as usual.

Firstly, the atmosphere wasn't impressive whatsoever. The place was old, a bit dirty, and packed with regulars during the time we were there. Wasn't quite pleasing, but that's not why we were there. We wanted to know if the food was good.

When it came down to service, the waitress was nice enough and supplied our requests, which was good enough.

When the food came, the portions were BIG and had some wok hay, which is a key component you are looking for when it comes to most Chinese food. Overall mildly impressed, but the dishes can use some more wok hay and cut their meat better (excluding the beef). Otherwise, the food is edible.

Overall, food was good enough, service was alright, and the environment was below average, which wasn't surprising. What this place needs is a dish that would pop and be the ultimate wow factor. That such dish didn't exist, hence the 3 star rating. I would still bring friends and family here once in a while, but probably won't be regulars.

While all the congees are good at Hing Lung Cafe in South SF, the pork liver congee truly stands out. It's a must-try dish that makes this cafe worth a visit!

No frills Chinese restaurant located in the heart of downtown. The menu is fairly extensive for the size of the restaurant, so there are plenty of options for everyone.

Service tends to get a little backed up, depending on how busy the restaurant is and also the amount of takeout orders they have. Came here on a weeknight, and almost every single table was full. They also had a ton of takeout orders.

I don't think you can go wrong with anything on the menu. I love their tofu dishes, and I would highly recommend the chicken wings.

Parking is either street parking, or there are public lots around as well.

First time at this restaurant, we were both under the weather and needed some soup. We were planning to get some pho but our place was closed today. We found Hing Lung and decided to give it a try. We had shrimp dumplings noodles soup and the fish broth soup. The dumplings were huge and there was four pieces. It was good but the soup was a bit salty. My fish broth cat with a lot of shrimp and fish cakes and balls. The soup was excellent, rich with a complex but neutral flavor. However the noodles in it reminded me of spaghetti noodles which downgraded the dish. The place was packed with 90% Chinese but service was quick. We’ll come back to check out other dishes. Prices were good.

I ordered take out at this place. I enjoyed the shrimp wonton soup and combination pan fried noodles. Soup was light and refreshing. The combination pan fried noodles were flavorful. There is a 3% charge for using card, which isn't much. But cash is recommended if you want ro avoid that 3%. Portion sizes were good and taste was great. I plan to come more often to try the rest of the menu. No comment on service since I had takeout. But the folks seemed nice and reasonable which is pretty much a 5/5 for me.
