I can't say I cared for this place. Walking in, I noticed this is a decently large restaurant. The girl who greeted us seemed friendly; the guy who seated us did not.

The restaurant decor had me thinking cowboy carnival with those weird mannequin dummies around. We did wait a little bit before someone came to take any drink orders but you could tell that the waitress was working hard. She was sweet though.

The food portions are good but the flavor is lacking. The sauces were too sweet for my liking but not terrible. The burger was dry and overcooked. The pulled pork was bland. The meat depends on the side sauce added and is not good enough alone. The mac and cheese was super cold. I would have asked to have them heat it but I was quite underwhelmed and just wanted to go.

We have been going to Brian’s off and on for 20 years and haven’t been in a while .
That was a mistake .
Jenny was our server and did a fantastic job . My wife got her favorite jumbo ribs and I had steak and shrimp . I feel this is a missed thing on their menu . The steak was cooked to my liking and the shrimp were light crispy and juicy .
Don’t overlook this eatery . Not a big chain and have been doing it correctly for years .

The food here is very bad. I've given this place several chances on different days, different times, and it's always bad. The service is really nice though, as all the servers are very kind. The salad bar always looks nice, but the all the BBQ and meat that I have gotten here is just so DRY. I got the chicken platter or something today and it was so dry that I occasionally choked on it. I work at a Chick-fil-A and so I know a thing or two about good chicken, and this chicken was just so dry. All the reviews saying the food is good, is probably all 60+ people who have lost all their taste buds. Sorry.

Brian and crew always do a fabulous job for our annual company lunch each year! Delicious food, great service, friendly staff and reasonable prices! The restaurant is also one of my personal favorites in the area. Thank you!

My server Delany was excellent. I love the patriotic decor and atmosphere. I wish I was hungrier I would have love to eat the salad bar and a pulled pork sandwich because the salad bar looks so delicious. I was in the mood for a pulled pork sandwich so I had that and it was excellent. The coleslaw was good old fashion coleslaw loved it. Also loved all the choices and barbecue sauces I highly recommend.

My husband came Lake Helen for a little get a way and decided to try Brian's. What a great experience. Our server Celeste was awesome. My husband got the brisket, he loved it. I had the jumbo ribs and salad bar. The ribs aren't fall off the bone tender but the flavor is on point! The salad bar was clean and everything was fresh and well stocked. We will definitely be back!

Went to Brian’s BBQ in DeLand because I really enjoy BBQ and they are one of the few restaurants that have a very good fresh salad bar.
Mine was a “to go order” of ribs, baked potato and a salad.
The gentleman at the cash register was very pleasant and helpful. My order was ready quickly.
My complaint with my order of ribs is that there wasn’t any meat on the rib bones, 6 ribs of gristle and fat. Extremely unsatisfactory and tasteless. Even my dog was disappointed.
This is the first time I have had a less than outstanding eating experience there.
