Delicious breakfast options. Generous portions. Friendly staff and bilingual. Laid back place. They have Michael Jackson memorabilia/pictures. MJ cooked in their kitchen!

The food was delish! Caesar and Gabriel were very hospitable. We thoroughly enjoyed our meal and it didn’t break the bank. They also had the best coffee I’ve had in LA thus far! We’re glad we went.

I order from here A LOT. Not anymore, I bit in my sandwich and there was a black staple in the egg… i called to let them know. Not wanting anything free just a heads up and the guy answering the phone didn’t give a single s&$t. Which was kind of heart breaking to me, like damn what if I swallowed that and got hurt? If he was just more considerate, I’d probably let it slide but that just showed me that maybe this place isn’t clean or up to any standard if that didn’t cause any type of worry.

The food was delicious and the service was even better. Super nice people. The bacon, avocado, cheese omelette was so good. My husband said the French toast was amazing and our granddaughter enjoyed her two eggs, sausage, bacon and sourdough bread.
We would definitely go back.. do not let the location put you off!
Also found out once we were there that part of Michael Jackson's video for Beat It was filmed here.

Chicken and waffles was delicious. The waffle was perfectly light and not doughy or heavy. Chicken was amazing. Juicy on the inside crispy on the outside. Everything came out so fast we were eating within 5 minutes. Coffee was delicious also

10 years here in L.A just now trying the Monte Carlo food.
I had an o.j & the chilequiles with added chicken on top.
So good.
A meatloaf plate was ordered for Him. ?
I felt like i was back in the 80s with my Pops at the hole in the wall diners he use to take me to.
Michael Jackson memorabilia on the wall, also Dodgers fan bobbleheads on display.
Customers have kept the diner
Appreciation by gifting the diner with memorabilia to keep the diner looking and feeling authentic, how it was back in the days.
Amazingly the diner has made it past The days of the pandemic and Still serving presently. ?
Though i didnt, i know this would be the spot to get buttery pancakes
However i did try grape jam with sourbread toast. Yummmmmmmmm
Also the O.J is so gd.
Though you may pass the busy bus stop & some characters on the way the location is a hole in the wall that I'd be willing to eat at again & again.
People need to come eat in more no matter the area.
The breakfast is terrific.
