Our experience at Isla Grand Restaurant was mostly enjoyable, though service could use improvement. We arrived before the dinner rush and were seated within 15-20 minutes. Jane, our initial server, was friendly and prompt with our order. We ordered the Sulit 4 , pancit, miso soup, sisig, nilaga, crispy pata, Laing, and Tocino (though the Tocino order was never placed). We had also wanted to try three other dishes but were told they were not available.

The food we did receive was excellent and, in my opinion, even better than other Isla locations. The crispy pata was a standout—crispy on the outside yet tender inside. Each dish was well-seasoned and flavorful, truly showcasing the restaurant’s culinary strengths.

However, the service was inconsistent. After Jane left for the day, we weren’t informed that another server would be taking over. While staff members brought food to our table, no one checked in to ensure we had what we needed. We had to ask multiple times for bowls for our soup, and our attempt to order the Tocino went unprocessed until we finally managed to place it to go. Em eventually came over as our server, but by that time, we were nearly done with our meal.

Overall, while the food was fantastic, service left room for improvement. I’m giving this place 3 stars for its delicious offerings and a promising experience that could be even better with more attentive service. I understand this location is fairly new and that is why it is a 3 star and not a 1.

After just 10 days away from home, I already miss Filipino food – and Isla was the perfect remedy. We ordered takeout, and while the flavors did not disappoint, the wait time was longer than expected.

Our takeout spread included ensaladang manga, a refreshing mango and tomato salad with the perfect balance of sweet and tangy. The jeprox (crispy dried fish) added a nostalgic crunch, especially tasty with the dipping sauce.

The beef caldereta was wonderfully tender, with a rich, savory sauce that clings to each bite, and the buttered garlic shrimp was juicy, with the garlic butter adding an irresistible flavor.

While the food was fantastic and brought me right back to the flavors of home, the only downside was the wait time for our order. But if you’re craving authentic Filipino cuisine, Isla is still worth it – abe manyaman keni!

Had a great time! Their menu is huge, portions are generous, the food is well seasoned, and the staff is super accommodating. It might take a minute to place your order, but once it’s in, the food flies out. The space is also HUGE! I can’t wait to see what it looks like when it is fully open.

Went to their soft opening with my family.

Amazing and quick service. Food was brought out within minutes of ordering and being seated. Staff were super friendly and accommodating.

Food was amazing. Everything was well cooked and presented in a pleasing manner. Each main dish serves 2 -3 people. Water is served to the table in a pitcher and fountain drinks are self, which I like. We had the following dishes:

-Crispy Binagoongan
-Sizzling Sisig Bangus
-Adobu Rice
-Misua

Would definitely recommend this place to those who love Filipino cuisine as well as those willing to try it out. They are still in the process of building part of the restaurant, which I hear, might be a karaoke bar. I'm excited to see what becomes of this restaurant.

Definitely going to return here.

Food was served one by one, and the food serving was very small and their price is waaaaay overpriced! small serving of beef caldereta is $28? Not worth the price, never again!
