I tried this place cuz a coworker brought chicken from here the other day that was pretty good.

I ordered and was disappointed 🙁

'mixed vegetable salad'...is actually just lettuce, some tomato slices and cucumber. Literally not mixed vegetables. I hate lettuce

Also the Bistec is overcooked shoe leather. Had so much trouble cutting it with a knife, i just threw it out.

I spent $40 for this? 🙁

Ordered four dishes around 95 dollars through seamless. Food was cold upon delivery, missing one item. Called and spoke to the manager. He said they don’t deliver through seamless so there was nothing he could do. I told him I have an email with my order number and his restaurant’s number in it, hence how I called him. Asked him how I ordered from his restaurant when they don’t use seamless. He said he had no idea. Don’t order from the restaurant.

First, I went around like brunch. The people that run it are unprofessional. They are talking to eachother and on a phone call. She saw me come in and there wasn’t alot of people. She didn’t help me untill I basically went over the counter said hello excuse me. The food is hella expensive because it’s in a expensive area. A meal that would cost me $15 with a drink cost me $28 with no drink. The food. OH NAUR. The chicken it’s old. The save the food from previous days and just heat it up. The chicken is like dry and sour. The rice is either cooked like soup or raw with pieces of raw rice. The mangu was okay barely any seasoning tasted like nothing. The cheese was hard and cold. I wouldn’t recommend please just go somewhere else where u can have good warm food.

I went to the store on Wednesday September 4 at 6:07 pm. The lady at counter was on phone. I waited for her to finish but she didn’t bother to even acknowledge my presence. After 5 min wait, another gentleman came, as soon as I opened the door to leave she started speaking to the other gentleman man. They will only serve you based on your good looks.

This is an indispensable neighborhood spot. Authentic, cafeteria style Dominican food. They have many roast meats options, lots of stews, puff pastries that looked similar to empanadas, and different kinds of rice as well as beans. They also do a variety of soups.
The lady who made my plate was so sweet and gave me recommendations, and filled my plate with HEAPS of food, thank you!
The roast pork with red beans and rice was delicious. The pork was succulent and generously portioned. They put a few spoonfuls of meat sauce over the food which made the plate extra juicy and flavorful.
Very cheap prices! Best value on Myrtle Ave 100%. My plate of sooo much rice, beans and roast port was only $11. It was really two servings worth of food.
They also do a lunch deal for $10.
I am so glad I tried this place out. I will be back! The roast chicken looked amaaaazing!

Always LOVED them in High school. Food is always delicious. This time, my chicken was a lil too pink for me this time and red beans smell a lil sour ?
